Title: AKA DCS Multiplayer Training Server Development thread
Post by: AKA_Topgun on September 30, 2018, 10:16:25 am
This thread has been started so people can place feedback here regarding bugs (or potential bugs) found on the server.  Confirm results of testing done.  And a forum for suggesting new features/tweaks, etc.

Newest version is now 2.4o.  - Removed the static red FARP in the helicopter range and moved the Blue Flag target FARP South of Senaki into that location.  Added a second group of
IR-ZSU targets so the FARP can be 'reset' 3 additional times.  Will do more later once I have tested some.  Fixed the infantry spawning logic (I think).  Added a AJS37 to Krymsk airfield so it could practice
BK-90 or bomb runs on a FARP target.

Note: Since it moved locations to a different sandbox it is now found under the Helixopter area menu.

Are there choppers close enough to not nake it a pain to fly there?

Around 15 nm from the airfield and from the Krymsk FARP.  So not far at all.  I may add one set of defenses that include a SA-6 so will HAVE to be that far away or else it may threatening to everyone else operating in and out of the airfield.

There are now 4 different FARP setups that can be called.  Some are fairly straightforward but a couple of them have additional surprises similar to what you would find on Blue Flag.  So be warned.  ;)

Using the Mig 21/F-5 for fast strikes in BF is something I would like to test (in our server) and Explore in BF.  Using these two planes to hit FARPS and Fuel when they can operate out of forward bases.  I was working on using the F-5 hitting FARPS in the Caucuses BF a while back where I would come in at Alt (over 14K) and drop bombs or fire rockets at the air defenses, it is survivable but tricky to say the least.   I am wondering if the GROM guided missile might be able to take out the IR SAMs and then use rockets on the AAA?

Matte,

Sounds interesting.

Tested the FARPs tonight.  The logic works.

But I have too many defenses at the FARPs (have about double the number of SAMs that should be there currently).  Will need to adjust.  Unless you guys want this to be harder.  :)

I would say mirror BF as close as possible, at most 10% harder.

I agree, keep it as close to BF as possible.

Should be able to make multiple copies of the defense group you eventually set up there, then write some triggers to reset them around the FARP a number of times based on the F10 menus, while at the same time removing the destroyed units (if deactivating groups does that, otherwise the carcasses will remain).

Should be a good way to repeatedly practice attacking a FARP.

also need red cap spawning in - Su27's - can't take a FARP without pushing those pesky fighters out of the way first!

Did the training server last night.  The practice Blue Flag FARP target logic is complete.  You can spawn units there 4 times using F10 menu.  Once the required units and structures are destroyed you will get a message the FARP is closed and some additional infantry spawn.  Once these infantry are dead, if a blue UH-1H or Mi-8 reaches the FARP you will get a message that it is captured.  You can also spawn separate additional defenses up to 4 times around the outskirts of the area which consist of MANPADS and/or SA-6, depending on which option you pick.  Those additional defenses dont need to be destroyed to close or capture the FARP.  When the SA-6 takes a certain amount of damage a unit will eventually spawn at the FARP and head to the SAM site and if it successfully reaches it, it will repair the SAM site once again making it a threat.   AI fighters have been added to Anapa which will perform CAP over top of the FARP to disrupt attacks there.  These are callable by the F10 menu.

I will be doing the same close/capture logic for the Anapa airfield.  Right now you can spawn units at the airfield (defense units and structures) but the close/capture logic is not in place yet.

The road base units for the AJS37 located at the small airstrip NE of Kutasi is partially working.  You can interact with them and they will refuel but the arming doesn't work even though they say rearming complete

Thanks Top,

Sorry I have not been around, I have only been able to get on later in the evenings, after 10 pm my time lately.  I am going to fly some this weekend but next week I am out of town so I will not be flying.

Is there a download of this mission I can use offline so I don't look like a fool? 😀

FARP close/capture logic complete.
Anapa units, fighter defenses, and close/capture logic complete.

I am not going to implement the LSO mod as there are far more pieces and parts than I anticipated and it sounds like it can potentially cause integrity check failures.  I want to keep this mission clean that it does not require any modification to a clean install.

4x A-4E added to Senaki airbase.  If it turns out to be popular will add more.

Added proxy aircraft (not usable currently) put in place for the F-14 so I could get all the waypoints set up.  Once the F-14 is released I just have to change a few settings and the 14 will be in the training mission and good to go.

I am in the beginning stages of creating a User's Guide for the AKA Multipurpose Training Mission.  So far only the Helicopter region is done and this is a very very early version thus far so is not terribly polished.  Feel free to review and make suggestions and ask questions.

It can do both.
Title: Mig-19 added
Post by: AKA_Topgun on March 01, 2019, 10:12:09 pm
The Mig-19 has been added to the training mission

4 at Senaki to practice ATG weapons
4 at Krasnador for the Korea/Vietnam sandbox area
4 single AI aircraft groups in the same area for OPFOR
4 pairs of AI aircraft groups in the same area for OPFOR

Also redid all of the refueling tankers as there was a mention on the forums that ATA refueling wouldn't work right until they were redone.  Should be set up the same way as before.
