IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad / Re: advice on getting rounds on target

"i was so close today that the 109 completely covered the reticle outer circle. i do not see tracers. is it because i am in turning fight?"

Precisely. watch the wing tips once the fuselage goes out of sight below your cowling.
Try to determine the path of the plane about 1 second ahead of its current path, then fire on its intended path. Use short bursts. Give that a try.

I am totally in the same boat.
Get closer is going to be almost everyone's input. If you find you are shooting from too far distance, try increasing your guns convergence. Take a look at the sights for the P_51 and P-47 in regard to the gyro sights so you can see the bullet paths whenever you fire

I use the Program Manager software for my CH gear, but only because of limitations in IL-2 1946. So, I've set up my program so that the buttons for one sim perform the same function in the other sims I fly. That way I only have to load one profile which works for all my simulations.
I also use two Thrustmaster Cougar MFD's. The controls work fine in Win10.

I am thinking of going to a VR headset though I have a few questions. I am still running Windows 7 64 bit, are they compatible with it? I hesitate to upgrade to 10 because I am still using my CH products HOTAS. I understand that CH products doesn't support windows 10 and has stopped its support in general. Suggestions, opinions
I use CH Hotas equip as well and have Windows 10. They work fine. I would recommend that you uninstall the equipment before installing Win10 then reinstall them after the upgrade. Others may have more input on this. Relent? I think you had some issues and found out how to fix them. I did not have a problem, but I think I might have had to uninstall them and reinstall after I upgraded. It's a pretty simple task.

I would assume they will have to use the ongoing and updating map as the mission progresses, just like we do.

IL_2 Cliffs of Dover / Re: COD ORG vs BLITZ

Only Blitz is playable now. It's been updated and is MUCH better now than the original COD.
You can probably get rid of the original game folder and just retain the Blitz version.

Hope to see you online. I fly on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:00-3:30 (Pacific) or so. There's a campaign run by TWC that's very enjoyable and challenging. Give it a shot. Blasto is often flying in COD as well.

Be advised that I intend on shutting down the server on Saturday AM, October 5 for a couple hours in order to do routine maintenance to my computers. Cleaning the cases and components primarily.
That is providing my CT scan goes OK on Friday.
So, if you are unable to access the server on Saturday AM, it's because they are being cleaned up.

They should be back online in the afternoon.

try centering the Trackir, which might fix that. Do it as soon as you get in the cockpit.

I liked the one on the Constitution a lot. Great stuff, Blazin.

Man oh man. I can picture every minute detail, 10. Sorry to hear of the crash and hope they start allowing some action to be taken for the whales soon. Around here, the buggers are "heavily protected," if you know what I mean.
Maybe a couple semi-truck type air horns on the handle bars would do the trick
I share your sentiment about clipping in. Unless you're a long-distance type, it's just not worth it.
Hope you heal up soon too.
