IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 / Re: Solomon’s ‘43 ready

Cool guys,
I didn't vote because I wont be able to fly 100 % due to the time difference but I can do the manager for the  poor AI as I don't need to be there to hold their hand :) and at what setting are the AI going to be set, ACE for the challenge or dumber than bat shit for visual effects. ?

Met with Tai this past Sunday and reset the campaign for Solomon’s ‘43, after seeing the poll results.

Everyone is on the Allied side.  The amount of Axis AI aircraft was increased, and Allied AI aircraft reduced to minimal.  Campaign is ready to go, or can be tested (backups were created).  One thing to note - there aren’t a lot of ship waypoints, so unless the allied commander goes a little conservative, against just AI this might be over fairly quick as allied shipping and invasion forces may capture at a rapid rate.  Last time we flew human vs human, so there participants on both sides hitting ground and ship targets, so keep that in mind.

Hi Guys If you still want an Axis commander you will need to allow me into the manager , at the moment I have access to allied.

Thanks Rel,

Just got lucky the last 2 missions all the flack was gone by the time I got there allowed more time on target.

Sorry guys wont be able to attend meeting.

here are 2 cents worth anyway.

1. NO external Icons  ( balance the advantages of both sides )
2. Inflight map position of own air craft icon only ( so nobody can get lost and waste time trying to find their position )
3. Late war scenario 1943 - 1945 more balance and choice.

that's it good luck

IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad / Up dating yet again for stalingrad
« on: February 15, 2019, 04:23:31 pm »

This 2nd or 3rd time now we have updates just before we play our Stalingrad campaign….seams it updates every Friday night ...I suggest we switch days with 1946 so that Scorp has more time to update the servers when this happens and not at the last minute … it may also help player availability with 1946.

thoughts ?

Also Gos the allied side are short handed and would welcome Gunfighter ...but I do think that we are changing sides soon so I don't know how long we have left on the Allied side anyway ?

does any one know the agreed amount of mission before turn over ?

May be Rel can answer this one ?

yesterday I spent some time on the normal server actually all up 3- 4 hours I defended our northern front line from tank attack , resupply and air defense . also bringing in and move aircraft around that I needed and had at other air bases. at the point the map was 50 /50 How in under 10 hours could that map have been won and changed to the current map .

my point is, its a waste of my and every ones time  transferring supplies and aircraft to build up some sort of force that you expect to be utilizing the next day to find out the map has changed without a reasonable explanation( map wise )….

The more I think about it the TAW aircraft allocation to pilots is a more fairer practice, pity it cant be incorporated into  Coconuts format.

S! J

I am actually leaning more to TAW profile altogether as preferred format for me.
