there are some files in the users folders, you delete them and they rebuild themselves when you run the game., should be fixed... just rename the users folder, and copy it to a safe location. Then delete, and run.

Isn't that CoD?

IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad / Friday June 14 Mission
« on: June 13, 2019, 12:09:23 pm »
Hi Guys,

I'm going out on Friday evening so I am starting the campaign mission at 4:30 pm PS/7:30 pm EST.  I have made changes to the server software and I want to make sure it starts as it should.

Set the end time at 8:30/11:30 so for those that fly later it will still be there.

What about Sunday, are we running a mission on father's day?

I have added the Me262 to the expert server.

Hi Ram,

Did you save the mission first and then try to edit it?

I could not open the mission fully, it would lock the computer.... had to reboot every time I tried to open missions.
using the editor in the il-2 menu. STEditor.exe

I changed the difficulty.cmd file in the campaign to this:

difficulty NoPlayerIcon       0

It was set to 1.

On the DF server the difficulty1_wmap.cmd file that is used for difficulty.  Look in the server.cmd file to find what files are called when the server starts.

server NAME AKA Server
f password.cmd
f dot25.cmd
f difficulty1_wmap.cmd
f gc.cmd

I'm away this weekend, daughter is turning 40 how did that happen?  I have everything scheduled to run as normal both Friday and Sunday.  I'll try to keep an eye on things and make sure things run smoothly.  If there is a problem give it about 5 mins after normal start time before anyone tries to get things going.

Oh I forgot to ask, hows about that kick/ban all night thingamajig.? Is there any way to find and disable it?

Yes, pay attention to the text messages on the left of the screen after you spawn in and if it doesn't tell you that you are clear to takeoff don't.

I'll start the campaign server up at the usual Friday times today (Sunday)

I was asked last night to run the BoX Campaign on Sunday, what time would you like it to start?

I just checked the next mission time and it will start at 08:00.

I have also upped the number of ferry flights.  The AI in Coconuts world depend on the availability of AC at each airfield.  Added ferry flights should help to get more AI to the airfields and thus in the air (I hope).

Don't see anything on the Forum but there is a game update available - am updating the servers now.

Thanks Turbine-Blade,

While this might have something to do with the problem I think it is either the number of people on the server or AI that spawn in as the mission progresses.  From watching the server it always starts well and then slows down as the mission progresses.  That said the server seems to be behaving well since the weekend.

One point is that we do not make missions.  The campaign is generated from a template mission by Coconuts Campaign Software.  The modification we have made so far are to remove static objects, mostly bridges and residential buildings, from the template mission to reduce the size of the files and number of objects that have to be kept track of.  The campaign that was having problems was one of Coconuts that had not been modified.

I'm no expert but when I looked at the server on Friday evening the CPU did not look like it was overloaded so I'm not sure what the problem is.  I'd hold off while I tinker with the Dserver settings and see how things go.

Looks like the server is having problems with this campaign. I'll reset it with the Stalingrad map and try it.  It is one of the maps I pared down and should run better. I'll put the same campaign on the expert server to give me an idea as to how it runs.
