Thanks Scorp, found it interesting reading all the various changes Coconuts has made with each varient of the campaign. Also found that he made a change to include destroying Static aircraft at an airfield depletes the available aircraft at that airfield. Similar to what we have in our 1946 campaigns.

DCS Series Flight Sims / Re: Confirmed: A-4E does not pass integrity check

Ok Guys, I have a few questions regarding updating the A-4C version to the new and improved v102.

Since this is a new version of a mod, and they are calling for a complete uninstall of the old version before installing the new version. I thought it best to ask in here on a template for how to remove the old version, since there is absolutley nothing out there on how to actually do this without F@#!'ing up your existing game.

I have already downloaded the new version along with the readme file and that brings up another question.

The Readme states to place the "Mods" Folder into C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha folder.

Problem is I don't have a C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha folder mine is DCS.openbeta.

Can anyone explain the correct format or meet up with me on TS one evening to sort through the uninstall/install process?

Thanks for the info Matte, I don't think a lot of guys were aware of the updated version for the A-4.

Well after some extensive testing with TG, Big Ten, and Mogas. I can say yes, IMHO they did some tinkering with the flight models. In my test flights I found the sensitivities we're higher after the patch in all three flight characteristics. Pitch, Roll and Yaw.

I had to tone down my stick sensitivities and my dead zones a few notches to compensate for the changes.

Just wondering. Got on a few servers last night After the second update. Noticed the flight handling characteristics of the 109F4 seemed somewhat looser, sloppy after this last update.

I fly the F4 varient a lot and I had my stick settings pretty tight and always felt the aircraft was very responsive.

Has anyone else noticed a change?

IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad / AKA BoS servers are down.

FYI to Gos, Scorp and the AKA BoS server admins.

The AKA Campaign servers are down. There were 2 updates to BoS over the last two days. One for about 895mb on Wednesday, and a second update for about 198mb on Thursday. Most likely the servers need to be updated also.

Thanks for the info Ram, going to try to get the Hornet one mo time and hopefully I won't have issues as my previous attempt.

Giving up on the A-10C, the learning curve is too much for my head to handle.

Thanks for the update Scorp, also for those that wish to see what changed with the updated server settings do to campaign gameplay. Remember to RTFM.

The sticky at the top of this forum has a link to the campaign manual that is used for both Coconuts and our AKA campaign and it also gets updated regularly. So check it out.

"Well we certainly can't retreat ....... were British" LOL

The current campaign on the Normal server, the Germans control all but 2 airfields. It's about over.

Since the German side always appear to win on that map, maybe we should look at a bigger map. Just a thought.

Clutter, tell me how did it feel to strap on the black leather and glasses. 8)

Don't be a stranger, come back soon.

Gotta get Wiley back up and in the saddle.

IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 / Just a quick heads up guys

Some of the guys that fly with me regularly during the evenings know that I am waiting on my daughter to give me my 10th grandchild. This one is going to be a Girl (yes we already know), this daughter currently has 3 boys so this will be her 4th and last child. Her due date was Nov. 1 and so far NADA.

She visited her OB doctor this morning and he informed her that if the baby does not come by 6:30pm Sunday evening, she is supposed to go directly to the hospital and they will be inducing labor.

Since this time frame coincides with our regularly scheduled 1946 Carnage, guess where I will be.

And, NO it will not be the cockpit of a P-40E getting my arse shot off by Mo or Big 10.

Just a heads up boy's I may be missing this next campaign mission.

Im telling you guys, Steam doesn't like my system. Rebooted my computer and Steam try's to automatically update itself before anything else loads on my system. This includes my anti-virus, and all my peripherals such as stick and rudder. Not cool!!!!!

Tells me that Steam doesnt like to play nice in the sandbox.

TG, just a quick FYI for you and Gos. I broke down and reinstalled COD and Steam. Gonna need help with game settings and must haves for controlling Steam updates.

First time a Steam update loses my controller settings I will stick a knife in steams heart and kill it.
