Probably, I got mine from a similar seller on eBay.

I just bought it on eBay, $30 for a CD key that works with Steam.

I find it tough spotting the bad guys but hopefully that will get better.  Visuals are terrific, vehicles and helicopters are pretty cool although not modeled like a flight sim they are good for a FPS.

I'd like to do some coops if we get enough guys to get ARMA 3, but in the mean time I need a lot more practice.

DCS Series Flight Sims / Re: Steam sale - 70% off

I'm running it at 1600x900 but have tried everything from 1280x768 to 1920x1080.  In IL2 and CoD a lower resolution makes spotting other AC easier but it doesn't make much difference in DCS.

In DCS with the P51 at 1 nM I cannot spot aircraft without the labels.  If I zoom in on them, knowing where they are because of the labels, I can just make them out, using the normal view setting and looking around I would never find them.

I have been flying flight sims for over 18 years and have been able to come up with settings that work in every other sim but DCS has me stumped.  I don't like labels but for me DCS it's a waste of time and an exercise in frustration without them.

At $10 I couldn't pass up the P-51 and with the chance of the WWII sim coming out I thought why not.

Unfortunately I still have the same old problem with DSC A-10 and UH, I can't see air targets.  IMO DCS have a terrific product except for the fact that it impossible to play unless you have labels on.

I'm surprised how much progress these guys have made in such a short time, makes you wonder what the developers spent their time at ;)

I preordered the standard edition.

You could do the traditional tank/ground capture scenario if you were to do the Battle of France but to be true to this the aircraft would be very limited.

The engines for CoD and IL2-1946 are very different but the consoles aren't really that different and CoD could let you build it right into a mission with the scripts that they have.

IMO, the biggest stumbling block to an AKA type campaign is the map, the roads don't connect and most of the bridges are missing.  When I tried to build a road network I got frustrated and gave up.  For those of you who don't know the air bases are resupplied via the road and rail networks and without these it's just about impossible to build our type of campaign.

For me I think I will wait for BoS and see if it would be easier to adapt.
