Want to fly on this server at somepoint

http://buddyspike.net/blueflag

This looks cool and I think it would be fun, check out the youtube video.

And eventually I would like to try this:

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=154092

But I think we would need some practice first.

Something that might give me a reason to fly DCS.

Yeah that Buddy Spike/Blue Flag is a persistent campaign so it can fit into whatever schedule we want and it looks cool, I will check it out and give it a go.

So I would like to sign the squadron up for this if no one has objections  http://buddyspike.net/blueflag    Round 5 has started.

I would need a list of who would want to participate and what aircraft you would be interested in flying.

More info   http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=160525

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQTY2ctjJOQ

Let me know soon if anyone is interested otherwise I am going to sign up as a lone wolf.

May consider this.  I can do any DCS (not FC3) aircraft.  Were you thinking red or blue side?

I just did a quick view at the site, so I haven't dug too deep yet - can you only fly one aircraft or can you switch around?  Would be nice to try a few, e.g Su-25T, F-15, Uh-1...

I was thinking Blue side, go to this link on the ED forum http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=160525  scroll down on the first post and open the SOP (it has it hidden as a spoiler), that will give all the details.

I am sure you can fly multiple aircraft, but the squadron will be assigend specific aircraft that we request.  I would like to have the F-15 and Mirage, but I am sure as a squad we want ground attack capabilites so some A-10's as well.  I am not sure if there is a cap to types of planes we can get but lets figure out what we want to fly.

Looks good - seems that if we sign up as a squad we would have aircraft assigned for just AKA to use.  It's not clear how many aircraft we get to start or how to replenish, maybe its listed somewhere else in the rules.  I copied this more or less from the rules regarding slot management:

Quote
3. Slot management

The campaign uses a slot management system depending on pilot TAGS. Each aircraft group name explains it's position and usage. Squadron members can use their Dedicated Aircraft slots with their squadron tags.

Aircraft slot for squadrons example:

011   Mig-21bis   Russia      MV_373_Mig-21 12  Mineralye Vody   CAP

The above aircraft slot is a dedicated slot for the 373 squadron as you can see from the TAG.  The aircraft takes off from Mineralye Vody. This is known from the group name description and tag (MV) . You can check the tags from the maps below.

Lonewolves can use only the general aircraft slots with the RED or BLUE tag.

Aircraft slot for blue Lonewolves example:

058   A-10C      USA      AN_blue_A-10C Anapa 11      CAS

The above aircraft slot is a general slot for blue pilots. It has no squadron tag but only the “blue” tag.

The aircraft takes off from Anapa. This is known from the group name description and tag (AN) . You can check the tags from the maps below.

Aircraft slot for red Lonewolves example:

055   A-10C      Russia      AN_red_A-10C Anapa 11      CAS

The above aircraft slot is a general slot for red pilots. It has no squadron tag but only the “red” The aircraft takes off from Anapa. This is known from the group name description and tag (AN) . You can check the tags from the maps below.

I would like to fly the F-15C, Su-25T and Uh-1H, but could also fly A-10A, A-10C, Ka-50, Mi-8 and Mig-21bis (LOL, I love flying most/all of them :) )...

Flew one last night, was pretty fun.  Was going to fling bombs at Sochi Alder but was intercepted by AI Mig 23's, ran back to friendly territory and had the friendly AI CAP help me out, shot down one Mig 23 and then was forced south by human flown SU 27's.  Landed safe!

I am going to sign up the squad and those who posted interest in this thread.
