Should I try to get Win 10 anyway??
« on: July 05, 2016, 08:33:35 am »
REgarding my earlier posts about Get Win 10, I can download it by other means, according to web articles, from Microsoft for free still.

The question is, should I do that as it might auto install this month and possibly screw up my ability to communicate and play in the Burma Campaign?

I'm willing to just stay with Win 7 SP1 and forget the free download altogether.

Any informed guesses?

All depends on what you do ....If your just emailing and browsing the web you don't need it....I'm sticking with 7 Ultimate myself. Good luck.

I decided to pull the plug and install it. I unplugged the joystick controllers and after the install plugged them back in. Everything seems to work just fine, except the Cougar MFDs, which appear to be unrecognized by Windows 10 so far. I'll be looking a for a solution. I don't like the interface much, but imagine I will get used to it.
I keep getting notices about the audio, so it appears there is a bug somewhere.
The campaign and IL-2 seem to be working fine otherwise.

Thanks, guys.
My system was just checked by the app, and it still says sorry on page one, but good to go on page two?!

Gos, I read somewhere that there is an issue where Win 10 looks at MB sound and you have to do something like mess with the bios.

My system is pretty solid with Win 7, so I might just forget it until support runs out.

Don't know.

Sully, this is my only gaming platform, so I have to have it working good for our campaigns.

What a pain in the butt.

Ah well...

Ram, I assume you are referring to Gos's audio issue.

Has anyone heard of what I have with GWX app contradicting itself?  That is, page one says no, but page to says go ahead???
