TrackIR 5 and G-SYNC
« on: August 24, 2016, 07:38:15 pm »
Just FYI

I got a new monitor a few weeks back and it supports G_SYNC, NVidia version of a "better" Vsync.  It really is there to support refresh rates greater than 60 Hz.

Anyway I enable the G-SYNC feature on both the monitor and graphics card.  After that I had a LOT of trouble with Track IR 5.  It was VERY sluggish, and after a bit the computer would lock up solid!.

When I turn off that option, no problems.  I would never have thought there would be interference between the two, but there is.

Mike at Natural Point said he now has a new bug to work on.  :-)

Hope he gets it sorted.  I sure which the Nvidia would make G SYNC a wider product and TV manufacturers would pick it up.  I cant go back to a monitor sized screen anymore after switching to a 39'' TV.
