Browser malware
« on: November 10, 2016, 11:17:33 pm »

Chrome has a browser malware that can't be removed by windows defender or malwarebytes or mcafee antivirus (which doesn;t even see it)!

Always comes back in a few sec when removed.

Any ideas?

Hi Agile,
Hitman pro is a good program.
It has a yearly subscription but well worth it if you get hit with this type of thing.
Removing malware involves going in to the registry if you are going to do it yourself which can be bad if you delete the wrong thing.
You first should find out which malware it is if you are doing this manually.
Doing it by hand will take a hour or two if you have never done it before and can be annoying if you miss something or bugger up your registry.
There are several good online step by step malware removal instructions.
Remember the Registry enables your OS to fire up so always make a backup. (which you will have to sanitise again if you bugger up)
I would pony up for Hitman myself.
I've done it manually and used Hitman.  I'll take Hitman any day of the week.

Cheers

Tai

Thanks, Tai,

Whatever happened to my Win7 is moot now.  I'vd had to install Win10, which you know about already.
