« on: November 30, 2013, 12:23:50 pm »
How are you guy's liking this so far?
As I'm planning on getting CLOD how does the flight model of this sim compare ....
And is it worth getting right now for the money ?

I would definitely get CoD it is a good solid working product and dirt cheap.

BoS is in Alpha release and won't be 'finished' until well into 2014 at present you get to fly a few aircraft offline.   I wouldn't advice anyone to but BoS to fly , I bought into it just to support the genre just like I did with DCS's WWII product.

In the long term I think BoS, and hopefully a bunch of follow on's, will be a great sim but for the present it is just something that give you a glimpse of what is coming.

As to the flight model I would say it is a bit more difficult to fly than CoD.  CoD has clickable buttons and such in the cockpit where BoS does and will not have a clickable cockpit (while I found this interesting in CoD after about 30 mins I mapped them all and never use a mouse now.

Thanks.... I'll just stick to CoD for now although I'm sure I'll get this one someday .......clickable cockpits don't do anything for me either....
