Thanks for posting the plane sets Scorp.   As a reminder, here are the planes included in each of the currently released modules (not listing any from BoBP yet):

BOM:
I-16 Type 24
IL-2 AM-38 (model 1941)
MiG-3 Series 24
P-40E-1 (collector plane)
Pe-2 Series 35

Bf 109 E-7
Bf 109 F-2
Bf 110 E-2
Ju 88 A-4
MC.202 Series VIII (collector plane)

==============================================

BOS:
IL-2 AM-38 (model 1942)
La-5 Series 8 (collector plane)
LaGG-3 Series 29
Pe-2 Series 87
Yak-1 Series 69

Bf 109 F-4
Bf 109 G-2
Fw 190 A-3 (collector plane)
He 111 H-6
Ju 87 D-3

==============================================

BOK:
A-20B
IL-2 AM-38F (model 1943)
P-39L-1
Spitfire Mk.V (collector plane)
Yak-7b Series 36

Bf 109 G-4
Bf 110 G-2
Fw 190 A-5
He 111 H-16
Hs 129 B-2 (collector plane)

==============================================

Stand Alone Collector Planes:
Bf 109 G-6
Ju 52/?m
La-5FN Series 2
Yak-1b Series 127

It would be nice to have a map that includes at least one fighter and one ground attack/bomber from all three titles, although I know that may be difficult.

Got an answer back from Coconut about the plane set file.  I think I can put almost every AC we want in a campaign.

So we should probably use one of the plane sets that everyone has, maybe Stalingrad, and then add in a few from Moscow and Kuban to round it off.

Scorp, that is great news about the aircraft. I agree with the a/c from Stalingrad & Moscow with a few from Kuban would be a good start.

Any thoughts on including some of the newly available a/c from Boddenplate on a very limited basis just so we can test them out in a multiplayer setting?

Thinking about the A-8 and the Spit 9. Maybe 1 or 2 only from the supply base in the rear.

I don't think I can limit an AC to one base like that, I believe the campaign treats all AC the same.  T he Boddenplate AC would be OK on the Normal server but I can't see them in a campaign, with those in you might as well get rid of every other fighter and it would not be fair for those people who don't have it.

So I think I will have things together for a test tomorrow evening, unfortunately we have been asked out for supper but I should be able to schedule a startup of the campaign.

Map - Stalingrad

Plane set - Modified Stalingrad

Setting - Same as Normal server

Start 20:30/17:30 End 23:30/20:30

If the whole things goes tits up you can just meet on Coconuts.

Wish me luck.

Excellent Scorp - thanks for the effort!  Enjoy your time out.

S! Rel

Edit - assuming that’s Pacific time.  If so I may be a little late, but can join in when I get home.

For settings, I was thinking we were going to start with icons, but no externals as a good compromise.

I'm not flying with externals on  :)

From what I have seen from the posts in this topic there was nothing decided on settings.  There was some mention of externals on the ground but not in the air, BoX does not have those settings it's either on or off for everything.  As we are starting this thing off I have no problem with external being on as I rarely use them (except to see how handsome I look).  Personally I don't see the need for externals as I am able to see around pretty well from inside the cockpit and with icons externals are of no advantage in the air but starting with the kiddie pool settings for our first campaign is quite acceptable.

What does everyone else think?

I think it's going to be a mixture of Human and AI on each side. Since it's a dynamic campaign, each sides AI should be doing what it normally does on the maps we have flown and you can see their activity on the map ie... Patrol @ 2000, Attackers @ 2000.  What will be different will be the human aspect won't show up unless the enemy aircraft is located near one of our bases. Then you should still see the red ring around a base. If it happens and you do not see an Attackers or Patrol nearby ... good indicator that it will be a human.

Just my thoughts on the matter. Now to see how many guys show up and which side they prefer to fly on.

It was my intention to fly Allied but I know a lot of you prefer Axis, I expected to see AKA pilots along with AI on both sides.

can we do it like we do in 46, fly one side the switch? So both get to fly the other side?

I think that is doable but first we need to get people to show up and fly anything.  We aren't sure how this campaign will unroll, how along it will take or what can be accomplished by humans on one of these maps.

So lets see how things go and decide from there.
