CH Rudder pedals problem
« on: September 09, 2018, 11:43:33 am »
The CH pedals I user are about 8-10 years old. They seem to be losing their ability to stay on center, tracking wide right and left with little of no ability to stay in position while flying.
I strongly suspect they are just getting worn out, but thought I'd post something just in case it's a fixable issue.
Any one have similar problems and how did you correct it if so?

Gos

Darnit! Looks like it's time to spend some more money.
Shouldn't have given the last extra set away.
Thanks for the reply, Wayno.

Gos open them up and check the connections on the center pot ...they can work loose and create havoc ....might need to clean and or replace the pot as well .....

CH will send you a new pot free! (not that kind of pot...)
I asked them a few months back and got one free...
but,,,,,,>>>>>>>

the wires inside are tiny frail, so make sure you don't screw them up, as they are too short, to frail, etc.... also the back case screws are very hard to get out of they get locked in place and easy to screw them up (literally)

If they still work, I'd love to have them here to have available for when someone else's rudders go south. I send stuff out for free and pay postage, so I'd prefer not having to buy them.
I already ordered a new set for me and figured I'd try to fix these to have available for someone else.
If you don't mind donating them to the squad, I'll try to find a good home for them.

Thanks, Nathan.
