Campaign Poll 2014
« on: January 30, 2014, 06:16:47 pm »
S! Guys,

Lets do a poll on the choices so far.  I've allowed up to 5 votes per user, so you can vote for multiple options, or (I assume) you can vote for the same choice up to 5 times to give it more weight.  I haven't tried allowing more than 1 vote per user.

So, lets get this rolling so I can start making some plans.  If you do choose "other", please specify what you would like in a post below.

Thanks!
S! Rel

PS: Gos, can you make this a sticky?  Thanks

Hmm, well there must be another setting I can't see, as it only let me vote once.  Maybe Gos can have a look at the admin settings :).

Here's my explanation for "other"

The American Volunteer Group (AVG) in China against the Japanese would be a nice change.

You could use either the Burma map with fewer airfields spread a distance or "lower Burma" with more airfields closer and the sea bordering the combat area.

Not a biggie, but you may want to cast your vote for "other" Ram, just so we get the counts to reflect actual votes.

Just joking Wayno.  No AC have been selected yet.
But in reality the 262 was operational as were rocket propelled AC in this selected period.

I would probably put in some very limited numbers of 262's and 163's, like we did before.  I think we had 2 262's at the supply base... maybe we can do something like that again with the 262 and/or 163... why not :).

I haven't even started doing any research on the aircraft, although it will probably be similar to what we did before in our Western Europe '44 campaign we did.

I think there were only 127 me262 available late 1944 and Hilter wanted them used as a fighter bombers. I think if you were to carry the map onto December 1944 then they would be available but for this map I say no.

There were a few  Ardo bombers being used at this time but I am unsure of their use on this front.

But I think at this point the Germans were using a mix of new and old stock just to keep some air support happening.

I believe the 262 was used in mid July 44 as an operational AC.
The first reports to the RAF of 262's were from an encounter with a Mosie.
The 51 was hard pressed to catch it and the standard tactic was to catch them landing or taking off as I understand.
A powerful beast both actual and virtual.

I am pretty sure when we crossed the Rhine, they had the Arados in operation...
