« on: February 01, 2019, 02:45:41 pm »
I went out to get my dog, and came back, forgot I turned the sound down because my wife hates the sounds of the aircraft or people talking... and I didn't turn the sounds up... or they were to low, and didn't see the chat either.. the sim is still messed up too shows a diamond instead of a square for friendly...

speaking of messed up A-A is still a joke....

but, it is Beta.... (actually still Alpha) IMHO   >:D

When you were looking at the Diamond, was it within the pitch ladder of the HUD?  If the contact you are "IFFing ( I use that term loosely here as the stop gap system we have is not actually IFFing) is not within the pitch ladder of the HUD the system does not work.  Also it can take several seconds for the system to reconcile, I have seen it take over three seconds.

That said the system does suck, and it makes the Hornet a bit of a liability in crowded Battle spaces.

Yes, it was within the pitch ladder for me and center for about 5 seconds when I decided to fire.
