https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=224989

The Community A-4E-C Mod is the culmination of nearly three years of work on behalf of seven driven team members and many vital advisors. We’re proud to present the most comprehensive DCS Mod to date, boasting such capabilities as Air to Ground Radar and Carrier Operations. The A-4 was a cold war workhorse, providing a capable, reliable light attack aircraft to dozens of nations around the world. From the Sinai Desert to the Jungles of Vietnam, the A-4 was a common sight above cold war battlefields.

We thank the community for their support over the years, through good times and bad. This work has been a journey with many faces along the way, and we dedicate it to our friend, mentor and lead coder Eric “Gosapadin” Mudama. His passion and brilliance left a mark on us all, and we are proud to share with you this labor of love which would not have been possible without him.

those that will not have the Vietnam aircraft at least can download and use this free, that is of course as long as those hosting allow it.   ;)

I have nothing against this aircraft (honestly, wish they could have made a true DCS module out of it with a real flight model), but if we add this to a server will it still require all participants to have that mod?

I have it and when I host,, it doesn't affect anyone else..

Ram,

Thanks for passing the info on the A4E-C update and the recent fixes. I'm still keeping an eye on this MOD as some of the guys I fly with don't really want to spend a ton of money on DCS just to see if they like it. However they do like of the camaraderie of flying with friends, so having this aircraft as a freebie is a nice addition to this sim IMHO.

As for Topguns question. I think when you setup a multiplayer server in DCS. The HOST has a choice to put some hard rules in under that Integrity Button before you start up the server. What do you have yours setup as?

Just ran a check on the DCS compatibility issue. WTF is that Integrity Checker for Anyway????

I left it unchecked and had the F4E-C added on my installs in DCS, had the same A/C loaded in a mission I tried to host.

AKA_TG tried to join without the A4E-C enabled and he could not get in.

As the host I STILL got a message saying the A4E-C was required to connect?????

Again WTF is the purpose of even having that Integrity Checker.

The purpose of the intergrity checker is to help prevent cheating in MP servers.  It is there to ensure that everyone on a server has the same basic setup without mods that are considered cheats.

As to why it would not allow TG in your server event with it uncheck, I haven't a clue.

I opened the multiplayer screen and found no servers listed. I'm using version 2.5.3.24436
Is a list of servers supposed to automatically show on the MP screen or do I need to use a specific IP address?
Thanks for the info.

Gos?

Gos,

You need to update DCS. The current version is 2.5.4.28090. So your a bit outta date thats why your not seeing any multiplayer servers.

Nathan, I understand the the purpose of the integrity checker and I don't have an issue with that concept or reasoning. However, I do question the game designers that included that Integrity Checker as a choice when setting up a multiplayer server and they provide you two seperate and distinct choices to apparently enforce those rules. But the game still enforces that everyone needs to have the same mod to fly is rather ridiculous.

Just a quick check - Grey, where did you install the A-4E mod, in the Saved Games area (where it should be installed, as per the readme), or where DCS is installed.  If it's the latter, it will fail the integrity check for sure.  If it's in the Saved Games, I think the integrity check doesn't flag your DCS install as "not pure", but I/we haven't tested in a while.

I am also having radio issues, not sure if it is just because of beta issues.. often the radio does not work once you leave the ground.
hope to test with others soon... I also added the Skyhawks to the most current training copy I have.

If it works on the ground and not in the air. it sounds like there is a PTT keybinding specific to its radio you need to use.
