How about a training mission on Monday?
« on: August 14, 2013, 11:51:46 pm »
Instead of going into a public server, I think I could use some flying time just getting the rust off.  I think I'm probably not the only one.  I was wondering if we could just go onto an empty server, pick a couple nearby dromes and practice against each other while on teamspeak.  Could work out a lot of stuff and get some good stick time in that way.  I know I can't even handle the Camel anymore and it used to be my best plane.  Heck, I worked with Pat Wilson to design the flight model and I can tell this Camel's FM is about identical to what we came up with.  So I just need some time to fix my joystick settings, buttons, etc. and get used to the power level again.  Kinda hard to do on Flying Circus when you're dying as fast as you can get airborne.

What do you all think?

I second the motion.

Just formation flying at first before we go deeper.

One step at a time.

The NewWings server had a "Wednesday Night Bash" where they practiced team aerobatics and air show flying.  Lots of fun !

Oh god!  Even when I was at my height in my flying career I sucked royale at flying in formation.  Just.  Can't.  Do.  It.

Glad you enjoyed it !

I used a different map from last week as pilots wanted to fly either Entente or Central.  Lots of different target opportunities !

Finally found the "scoring" window. When you hit their version of "refly" you have a choice to look at statistics.  Gotta look up what most of those symbols mean.  I can't remember when this was taken as the server was restarted a couple of times to refresh the mission.

And this is what the Mission Editor looks like [with right side cropped off]

Sure ain't no just picking a home base and then adding more models of planes.

If anybody knows about mission editing I'd appreciate your help.

And I'll keep an eye on your post Recon
