1946 Campaign Adjustments
« on: July 28, 2019, 11:35:55 am »
S! All,

The 1946 Pacific campaign will be adjusted by Rel to provide more planes at our forward base, Segi, and he will also refill fuel and supply there as well.

This will nearly eliminate the need to fly long ferries from Supply and make it much more fun for whoever shows up.  We have had only a handful fly so far, but now it should be much better, and I will expect more pilots will like it.

So far, it's still on for Tuesdays, and some folks have a problem with that day, but no changes right now on that.  Maybe later if the Squad want to revisit the topic.

AKA Rel is adjusting the numbers, etc.

Game is on for Tuesday, 30 July, 2015 Eastern brief.

Come and shoot some planes; bomb some ships; destroy ground targets!

Hey guys - I topped off the fuel tanks and warehouses at Segi, and dropped some aircraft there so it should be better inventory-wise.

Looking forward to tonight's mission.

Brought in a tanker and topped off the supply and fuel at Segi, and flew in a batch of P-38's there too :).  Good luck!

LOL only seems fair Jer - I didn't know you were flying blue at all.  Agile, Reds, any objections?  If Jer's going to take you on by himself least we can do is give him some help as well :).

S! Rel and Jer,

The reason we have the resupply is that the Supply base for Red is a half hour away, and not enough people fly to manage that time frame, with Segi our only other base.

Blue has 3 bases at or near the front that he can draw on.  However, with only one or two guys, Jer is hampered too.

If Blue is resupplied, that's ok with me, but I foresee a stalemate at best.

Red did land a force from 7 convoys earlier, but the columns were all in the surf and easy pickings for that Blue devil, and Red only had 4 to 6 pilots max with long flight times to cover the troops.  We just sucked it up.

BTW, there aren't any tanks of any merit in this either!?

Isn't Red supposed to win? LOL!!

There should be light tanks involved in this campaign.  I hear you about the “reds are supposed to win”, plus the fact that it’s mostly human vs AI, plus all the effort you’ve put forth to destroy enemy airfield installations to date.  Just let me know what you want me to do.  Maybe I can just give Jer minimal fuel and aircraft as needed at the two locations mentioned so he can take off and defend at least.

Opps should have replied sooner, I was joking ( bout the resupply ) REL ,I fly if i can but 90 % of the time ill be at work  , only wanted to remind them of their failures LOL …  just joking again …… I was just peeved that Hangten could afford to sacrifice a p38 to ram me on my approach to Munda after he must have ran out of ammo. then I remembered all I have seen are p38s why add other aircraft types at all , I still think if you lose it there should some sort of penalty .

would like to see a TAW aircraft allocation system implemented on this It would force pilots to be more careful of their choices and make things a bit more interesting.....

Better still if only 2 aircraft of each type from the airfield pool were available to any pilot in that mission would mean if they use them up they will have to fly a different plane from the same base of come from another base if they want the same plane , bad take off and landing would be included in the attrition.

Thoughts  ?

S! J

Interesting ideas but I'm not sure how they could be implemented if that's something we want to do.
Rel?

Cheers
