SOW War and "special events"
« on: January 21, 2015, 05:18:12 pm »
S! Hey fellas for some time now since 92Sqd has taken over the Storm of War server,i and a few others from AKA,MattE, Bucky, Knut,Agile, have been participating in a few Sunday Special events trying many new things in CLOD similar to what we did for years with our FS war, things are coming along very well,we havnt begun a full on war yet but have been doing Sunday special events as a tool to test and tune all of the great things being implemented for our upcoming war,for this sunday there will be a test of server strength to start with and then im sure we will do some form of actual combat event, we have been allocated 4 spitfires for this event if more than that from aka show some would have to take hurricanes Sunday Wars are not far off it would be great if we could finally get more aka members to fly CLOD,There are flying in these SOW Wars some of the best sim pilots from all over the world flying both red and blue, the controlled organized environment is really imersing for those that don't fly CLOD you really don't know what your missing as this is a great time.

I have really enjoyed SOW, in fact I would have to say some of the best missions I have ever flown in COD were on the SOW server.  They are going for realistic Battle of Britain so it usually mid to high altitude  fights with lots of aircraft, really good fun.

I will try and make it this Sunday, as Recon mentioned, Sundays mid day are a bit tough.

Wiley have you checked out the "Stutters" thread I started in here?  There are a few things you should try.

S! Matte I havnt checked yet but ive been flying pretty much only sow server for the last week and have had no stutters to speak of,ive been engaging bomber formations of up to 12+ bombers with a few human escorts  and have been tearin it up lol, our ammo loadout that you and I are using is deadly for both bombers and fighters  and its been good ive also been ferrying ac to our allocated airfield of Rochester and we have a nice amount of both spit 1a100s and Spit 2a,s but... in order to use our af you have to be registered to AKA and tho im registered im not sure how to do it we need to get with 92ndphil im sure he could get us straight, ive been anticipating for those that cant register proper in time ive ferried a few AC to maidstone which is only 5 miles SW of Rochester and an "open" AF so we could form up easily from both fields.

Hey guys, any thoughts about whether I would be able to send copies of my game folders to Gunslinger to try and get his game to start? I'm wondering if it would work like the IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 disks.
He's still not been able to get the damn program to run other than showing the reticle at the start then back to desktop.

Not sure Gos.  One thing though, when I went to install on the new computer Steam new I was doing so and would not then let me run Cliffs on both PC's (old and new) at the same time.

Yes Gos you can do that.  I'm doubtful that it will fix his problem but it's worth a shot.  I'd send the modded version.

The problem was resolved after he installed an NVidia video card. I guess the game just did not like the ATI card. Thanks for all the help, guys!! You're all champs in my book.
