Where do you see yourself Lacking with the Hurri?  She is a good bird, more suited to Bomber intercept then dogfighting 109's but she is capable of holding her own.  She turns better than the spit and can climb at a very high AOA, useful for shots on 109's as they try and zoom away.

Hurricanes are simple, only fly when Wiley is flying and stick to him like glue.

I often burn an engine up after about 1/2 hour trying to keep up with everyone else.. engine management... I have no problems with Spitfires.. of for that matter German planes, just Hurris.

The Hurri Rotal 100 is the same engine as the 1A Spit, so I am not sure why you would blow it up?  It can be pushed most of the time like the 1A. next time you are online we can work on it.

Generally speaking we climb at 80/80.  Other people adjust their rads I keep mine at 100%.  At 100% rad and 80% prop it is impossible to burn the engine, you can go to 100% power with the boost cut-out off and not damage the engine.

Running with the boost on and high RPM would cause you to blow the engine.

the engine does not 'blow' bad choice of words, it degrades badly.. so it has to be landed before it finally gives out... if you wait too long, it does not have the power left to make it home...

1. Check Rads; very well could be your radiators are not open enough

2. Check Mixture; Fly at full rich all the time, you might have a key binding that is effecting it.

3. Check Boost cutout; Make sure your boost cut out is off if you are not using it and don't use it unless it is essential.
